Scholarship Application

Deadline for submittal: March 1, June 1, September 1, or December 1 for approval at a quarterly meeting of the Maryland Municipal Clerks Association.

I hereby apply for scholarship funds from the Maryland Municipal Clerks Association to:

  • Attend a conference
  • Attend a Municipal Clerk’s Institute or Academy
  • Attend an Athenian Leadership Society Dialogue
  • Enroll in an on-line class
  • Other higher educational training

  Written documentation from Mayor, Manager or Council that a request for funding was submitted and denied or only partly funded. An explanation of the action taken is included.
  Written documentation from Mayor, Manager or Council that, in the event a scholarship is awarded, the applicant will be given time away from the office to attend the training venue.
  Statement by the applicant briefly summarizing what attending the training venue could mean to his/her professional development.
  Information from the IIMC Conference, Institute/Academy or other educational venue showing dates, cost and summary of activities pertaining to the event.
